Hawzah News Agency- Organised by the Muslim Council of Britain, the initiative will see more than 115 mosques open their doors to the public, offering guided tours, exhibitions, refreshments, and opportunities for visitors to ask questions about the faith and the communities that worship there.
Now in its 11th year, the event aims to encourage understanding between communities and give people of all faiths and backgrounds the chance to learn more about their Muslim neighbours.
The weekend comes at a time when many mosques continue to face challenges, with reports of dozens of attacks on mosques across the UK over the past year.
Organisers say initiatives such as Visit My Mosque are an important way of building connections and breaking down misconceptions.
Participating mosques will showcase the role they play beyond prayer, highlighting community projects, educational programmes and support services that benefit local residents.
Across the country, visitors will be able to take part in mosque tours, view exhibitions about Islamic history and culture and meet members of their local Muslim community.
Many mosques also serve as community hubs, hosting activities ranging from youth groups and educational classes to wellbeing sessions, charity projects, and support for vulnerable residents.
The event has become one of the largest initiatives of its kind in Britain and regularly attracts thousands of visitors keen to learn more about Islam and the communities that are helping shape modern Britain.
